Of the 145,000 people living on the base, 8,000 are active duty, 400 are guard/reservists, 10,000 are family members, and 12,000 are students. Joint Base Langley-Eustis offers amenities to its residents including a library, a recreation center, golf, tennis courts and outdoor activities. The base also has commissaries, exchange systems, military banks and credit unions. Health care is also available on the base.
