How Many Military Bases Are in North Carolina?

As of 2015 there are eight military bases in North Carolina. There are also two coast guard bases. The United States Army, Navy and Air Force all have at least one base in North Carolina, while the Marine Corps has three.

Pope Air Force Base is located near Fayetteville, in Cumberland County, while Seymour Johnson Air Force Base is in Goldsboro. Camp Mackall Army Base is a training facility located in Scotland County and Richmond County, while Fort Bragg Army Base is just west of Fayetteville. Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base is located in Onslow, Cherry Point Marine Corps Base in Havelock and the New River Marine Corps Base is in Jacksonville. The single Navy base in North Carolina is the Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point, located in Brunswick County.
