The Commonwealth of Virginia has 11 congressional districts. The 2010 U.S. Census did not have an effect on the number of districts in the state.
As of 2015, the current congressional delegation from Virginia includes two Democratic Senators, Mark Warner and Timothy Kaine. Virginia has 11 members in the House of Representatives. The three Democrats representing Virginia are Robert "Bobby" Scott, Donald Beyer and Gerald Connolly. The eight Republicans include Robert Wittman, Edward "Scott" Rigell, Randy Forbes, Robert Hurt and Bob Goodlatte in addition to David "Dave" Brat, Morgan Griffith and Barbara Comstock.
The districts range in population from 721,969 in the second district, represented by Rep. Rigell to 770,994 in the 11th, represented by Rep. Connolly.
