To locate inmates in the state of Colorado online, visit the Colorado Department of Corrections at Doc.State.CO.us. Hover the mouse pointer over Inmates on the top menu, and click Find an Inmate on the dropdown menu. The Colorado DOC offender search tool requires the user to provide the DOC number of the inmate or the last name and full name of the offender. Keying in the last name of the inmate brings up a list of all inmates with the same last name.

The Colorado DOC shows some information about the inmate, including the DOC number, estimated parole eligibility date, estimated release date, the facility where the inmate is being held and current convictions. The inmate information also includes the inmate's booking photo.

If the inmate's information is not on the site, try visiting the county sheriff's office website and, if applicable, use the site's inmate locator. Inmates sentenced to a term of less than a year or awaiting court trial or sentencing are usually detained inside a county jail.
