Sorting options for the search results include the blood drive's date or distance from the location entered. Each listing includes the name of the location that's holding the blood drive, the address and the time of the blood drive. The search results page also displays a map with icons indicating the location of each blood drive.

Click More Details under a listing for information on what people can donate at that blood drive. Whole blood is the most common donation, but other types of donations include double red cells, platelets and plasma. If a location has multiple blood drives occurring, click More Drives At This Location to view information on those other blood drives.

Blood drive information for blood drives hosted by other organizations is often available on those organizations' websites. Organizations may also accept donations outside of blood drives, but an appointment may be required. Blood drives typically don't require an appointment.
