Visit your state's official state government website to learn about your elected officials. The websites of the states of Missouri, Connecticut, Ohio and New Jersey are examples of state websites that have information about current governors and lieutenant governors, governor cabinets, their state legislatures and state courts.
The website of the state of Missouri has a Government tab where you can click on the Executive Branch, Legislative Branch or Judicial Branch links to view information about officials within those branches. The Executive Branch page provides links to biographies of the state governor, lieutenant governor, state auditor, attorney general and state treasurer. Other links are available to departments within the executive branch, and these identify important department personnel. The Legislative Branch page enables you to search for your elected representatives, whereas the Judicial Branch page has a link enabling you to find out your county prosecutor.
Some state government pages, such as those for the state of New Jersey, also include links or feeds for their governors' social media accounts on Twitter and/or Facebook. The New Jersey website provides means for you to follow the governor on these social media platforms. The New Jersey governor's website also provides news headlines relating to the governor and state legislative action.
