Langley Air Force Base is located adjacent to Hampton, Virginia, in the southeastern portion of the state. Officially renamed Joint Base Langley-Eustis in 2010, Langley lies between the cities of Norfolk to the north and Newport News to the south.
Joint Base Langley-Eustis occupies 3,152 acres on the south-central portion of the Virginia Peninsula, bound by the Chesapeake Bay to the east and the Hampton Roads Harbor formed by the confluence of the Elizabeth and James Rivers to the west. It is approximately 25 miles south of Yorktown and 32 miles south of Williamsburg. The physical location for the base is 77 Nealy Avenue in Hampton, Virginia.
