Jeffrey Dahmer was an American sex offender and serial killer who murdered 17 boys and men before he was caught in 1991. He molested and tortured his victims and was a necrophiliac. Dahmer's penchant for collecting skeletal souvenirs and eating his victims' organs earned him the nickname the Milwaukee Cannibal.
Jeffrey Dahmer killed his first victim shortly after graduating from high school in 1978. He developed a drinking problem, which led to Dahmer dropping out of Ohio State University and to his discharge from the military. He lived with his grandmother for a short time afterward and began killing more men in her basement in 1987 until she kicked him out due to drunkenness. He was arrested after a victim escaped and notified the police. Dahmer was found guilty and sentenced to 15 life terms. He was killed in 1994 by a fellow inmate.
