The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Department of Corrections operates three correctional facilities including Main Detention Center, Central Detention Center and West Detention Center. Family members who are interested in seeing the inmates can visit the facilities from Thursday to Sunday. An inmate can only be visited once on a weekday and once on the weekend. Visitors must have a valid state-issued identification card and must dress according to the dressing code requirements. Minors must be in the company of an adult who must provide a birth certificate for the minor.

Inmates cannot receive telephone calls in the facilities but have access to telephones in their housing units. Inmates are released from either the West County Detention Center or the Main Detention Center. Options for paying bonds include posting a cash bond directly to the Palm Beach County Sheriff, posting bond using cash, debit or credit card at Western Union locations and having a bondsman post a surety bond.
