Serial killer Gary Ridgway is currently incarcerated in the Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla, Washington. He has been there since Dec. 18, 2003, when he was sentenced to 480 years in prison without the possibility of parole.
Gary Ridgway, also known as the Green River Killer, killed more people than any serial killer in American history. Although his victim count is above 60, he claims to have forgotten exactly how many women he actually murdered. He escaped justice for decades, but police finally captured him in 2001. To avoid the death penalty, Ridgway cooperated with the police investigating his actions, telling them where he had hidden the bodies and giving details of the murders and his techniques.
