The MyHealtheVet program helps veterans, active-duty service members and their dependents and caregivers make appointments with the Office of Veteran Affairs, refill prescriptions, communicate with their health care teams and take health age assessments. The program also provides education about veteran health care and prescription shipment tracking.
The MyHealtheVet program provides a crisis line for veterans as well as resources for mental health services. Veterans can obtain information on flu shots, dental insurance and the different HealtheVet account types. Veterans can also access the Blue Button feature, which places all available health records into a single file for easy and safe sharing with health care providers and family members.
MyHealtheVet also provides information on how to track vitals and understand the readings. The website provides a list of the most requested forms available in PDF form, including the 10-10EZ, the application for education benefits, the designation of a beneficiary and others.
Veterans who use MyHealtheVet may also choose to upgrade their account to a premium version, which allows them to view parts of their official VA health records as they become available, view their Department of Defense Military Service Information and use a secure messaging system with their health care teams.
