The most expensive illegal drug in the world, is the crystal form of LSD. It sells for around $3,000 per gram.

Drug prices vary depending on the area and supply and demand. According to the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), LSD is sold from anywhere between $1 and $10 per "hit," which is between 30 and 80 micrograms.

Crack cocaine is another expensive illegal drug that costs around $600 per gram. Methamphetamine or "meth" sells for around $120 per gram or $1,600 per ounce. Heroin is the most common illegal drug of choice, following marijuana, and it sells for around $110 per gram for a high-quality product.
