On June 9, 2008, Travis Alexander's body was discovered in his home in Mesa, Arizona, with multiple stab wounds and ballistic trauma to the back of his head. According to Alexander's friends, he was being stalked by an ex-girlfriend, Jodi Arias. The police searched Alexander's home and found a digital camera, a spent .25 caliber round near the master bathroom sink, and a bloody hand print that contained the DNA of both Alexander and Arias. The police were able to recover deleted photos from the camera, which included explicit photos of Jodi Arias and showed Alexander in the shower moments before the attack.
