John Tory, the current Mayor of Toronto, was elected in 2014 after running unsuccessfully for the position in 2003 against David Miller. The location of his 2014 campaign office, located down the street from the Ontario Legislative Building, is listed as 'Now Closed' on Yelp. The public Facebook page for campaigners is also inactive, and as of 2015 has not been updated since Dec. 7th, 2014. Though inactive now, the campaign accomplished the goal the volunteers had been working towards, as John Tory won the election, defeating the incumbent mayor's brother Doug Ford, as well as former councillor Olivia Chow.
Before becoming the Mayor of Toronto, John Tory was the leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario from 2004 to 2009. He was also a member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 2005 to 2007. Tory and his council can now be reached through his Office of the Mayor website via mail, both physical and electronic, as well as by fax or phone. Mayor Tory also has a verified Twitter, the live feed of which can also be found on his website.Learn more about Elections
