To contact the Department of Veteran Affairs, go to VA.gov, hover the mouse over the Contact Us link at the top-right corner of the home page, and then select a contact method. Site visitors may contact the Department of Veteran Affairs by submitting a support ticket or via telephone calls.
The page contains toll free numbers for contacting the VA. The phone numbers fall into different categories such as Veterans Crisis Line and Women’s Veterans Hotline. For best results, choose a phone number that suits your needs.
To submit an inquiry to the VA department, click on the Ask a Question link under Contact Us, and then provide the required details under Inquiry Routing & Information System. In the first section, type the question, but do not include your name, file number or social security number. In the second section, select a topic, subtopic and the type of inquiry. Provide the contact information in the third section of the page, and then click Submit.
The VA website also provides other basic contact information such as the numbers to dial when in need of medical emergency. To talk to your doctor online, click on the MyHealthVet button located under the Inquiry Routing & Information System section of the VA website.
