The Environmental Control Board of the Department of Buildings has five different offices, depending on the area concerned. For matters in the Bronx, contact the board in person at 3030 Third Avenue, 2nd floor, and by phone at 718-993-6110. For matters in Brooklyn, visit 233 Schermerhorn Street, 11th floor, or call 718-875-7428. Call the Manhattan office at 212-560-62-70, the Queens office at 718-298-7300 and the Staten Island office at 718-815-8385.

The Buildings Enforcement Safety Team, or BEST, is at 280 Broadway, 5th floor. You can also contact the team by phone at 212-393-2404 or by email at best@buildings.nyc.gov. The Buildings Information System Unit is available at 212-393-2260 and the Buildings Special Investigations Unit is available at 212-825-2413.
