Christopher Gribble is currently serving a life sentence in prison for his role in murdering a mother and attacking her daughter with a machete in October 2009. The crime took place in Mount Vernon, N. H., when Gribble was just 19 years old.
Christopher Gribble, along with his friend Steven Spader, invaded the home of Kimberly and David Cates with the intent to burglarize it and kill any occupants. Kimberly died from 36 blows to the head and torso, but her daughter, Jaimie, survived despite being brutally attacked and maimed.
Gribble confessed to having participated in murder but pleaded not-guilty by reason of insanity. He was nonetheless found guilty and sentenced to life in prison plus 76 years with no possibility of parole.
