Check your Employee Provident Fund balance by going to the EPF website and selecting the Click Here to Know Your PF Balance link. On the login screen, input your account number, name and cell phone number, and select your state from the drop-down menu. The system then sends you a text message with your up-to-date account balance.
To access your Employee Provident Fund balance online, you must know your PF account number. The information sent to you via text message includes all current, approved transactions, including advances, transfers and settlements. When entering your account number, leave the extension field empty, as not all accounts have one.
You can also register online to access your EPF account passbook. To do so, you must provide a mobile number and a proof number - such as a PAN, AADHAR or NPR number - or a bank account number, voter ID number or passport number. Only one mobile number is permitted for registration, but you may add multiple proof numbers to your login information. Registered members may only view account details for one account, and only members of Employees Provident Fund can register online. Once registered, you can access and view your passbook anytime online.
