Driving records and traffic tickets are available to search online at DMV.org. As of 2015 there is no national database and searches are done by state using a drivers license number.
Be wary of third party sites that offer to do comprehensive searches of driving records or traffic tickets with or without an additional charge. Reliable information is only available through the DMV or MVR for each state. Driving records are used in court proceedings and background checks. They are also used by insurance companies to adjust insurance rates and premiums. For these reasons, having a copy of personal driver history can be valuable and most state motor vehicle registries will provide this information for a small fee.
