The Occupational Safety and Health Administration handbook can be found on the OSHA website in PDF format. The site has several handbooks in English and Spanish categorized alphabetically and available to download.
OSHA is part of the United States Department of Labor and was created in 1970 to assure the safe working conditions of the working class. The agency accomplishes this through regulations, training, assistance, outreach programs and general education to both employers and employees. The standards set out by OSHA apply to most businesses within the private sector and some businesses in the public sectors, and these standards are federally enforced across all 50 states, according to the OSHA website.
