By going to websites such as the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, Military Connections or the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, it is possible to find out the times and dates for the next Veterans' Stand Down events in different states. As of November 2015, there are more than 20 upcoming Stand Down events taking place between November and December in different states, as noted by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs website, VA.gov. The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans also has a classification key for these events that consists of the letters A through F. The letters represent the type of event, such as a Stand Down A event is a three- or four-day event with shelter for homeless veterans. The letter D stands for a homeless veterans health fair that is a one-day event.
