The FTC Complaint Assistant includes several different categories to classify fraudulent calls, including identity theft, scams and rip-offs, unwanted telemarketing, text or spam, and mobile devices or telephones. The site also includes ways to report fraudulent activities that involve other services and forms of communication, such as Internet services and online shopping.
The FTC also maintains a national do not call registry that allows consumers to register their numbers if they do not wish to be contacted for telemarketing purposes. DoNotCall.gov includes a page to submit complaints specifically related to calls made in spite of registration on the FTC's Do Not Call list.Learn more about Crime
