Some states allow drivers to make a right turn on a red arrow, while others do not. In Florida, after coming to a stop, a driver is allowed to turn right if no traffic is approaching. This is not permitted when an intersection displays a No Turn on Red sign.
Oregon also allows right turns on red arrows if the coast is clear and no police officer forbids the action. Drivers must yield the right of way to other vehicles. However, in California, drivers are not allowed to turn right on a red arrow under any circumstances. The same holds true for New York state. Drivers are not permitted to turn until a green arrow or green light appears.
