The official FBI website, FBI.gov, maintains a list of individuals wanted by the police. The list includes those wanted for felonies as well as those kidnapped and missing people. Additionally, the FBI operates a Twitter account, FBIMostWanted, that provides information about wanted individuals.
The official FBI wanted list allows users to search for the specific names, genders and ages of individuals. It also includes a list of categories, such as terrorism, cyber crimes, murder or violent crimes, and bank robberies. Other categories include kidnapping and missing persons, parental kidnappings, and crimes against children. Fraud, white-collar crime, criminal enterprises and drugs are other available categories. The website also lets users search within each individual state and select whether or not to include search results that have rewards associated with the wanted individual.
Each individual listed on the FBI's wanted list includes, when possible, a photograph, name and category. The site also features a fugitives and missing persons section, highlighting eight individuals who the FBI is currently searching for. In addition to this list, the FBI also maintains the 10 most wanted and most wanted terrorist lists. The website also features a case of the week section, which outlines information about a different case each week.
