The website of the Secretary of Foreign Relations of Mexico has a webpage listing its consulates in the United States and worldwide, arranged alphabetically by city. Choose the Mexican consulate general in your state or the one in the state closest to you.
The Mexican Embassy is located in Washington D.C. and there are 49 Mexican consulates in 25 states across the country and in Puerto Rico. The state with the largest number of Mexican consulates is California with 10, followed by Texas with nine, Arizona with five and Florida with two. A consulate is found in the states of Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah and Washington, according to the webpage. Each consulate listing contains links to a Directorio or directory and a Sitio Web or website of the consulate.
The directory page lists the consulate's address, phone and fax numbers and office hours. It also has a list of the names of its consular officers and their email addresses. The website of the consulate has information on its procedures and services, cultural and community issues, the press room and mobile consulates. The directory and consulate websites are mostly in the Spanish language with no English versions.
