The SCI Graterford facility in Pennsylvania accepts visitors from Monday through Sunday. As of 2015, visitors may visit inmates from morning until mid-afternoon from Monday through Wednesday. Because weekends tend to be busy, the facility opens again from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in addition to the regular visiting hours. An inmate may receive five visitors a day. Visitors get one hour with inmates and should arrive two hours prior to the closing time of the facility's visiting room.

Aside from personal visitations, families of inmates may set up an account with SECURUS in order to receive calls and communicate with loved ones incarcerated inside the SCI Graterford facility. Families can choose among several telephone services, including traditional collect, direct bill, prepaid advance and inmate debit. SECURUS also offers virtual visitations and voicemails, allowing loved ones and inmates to communicate at long distances. The services only apply to select Pennsylvania SCIs and may or may not be available at the SCI Graterford.
