Find a contractor's license number on his plastic pocket-size card. As of October 2015, license numbers consists of eight numerical digits. The CSLB is responsible for creating and managing contractors licenses in California. It also handles complaints against contractors, taking disciplinary action and helping protect consumers with monetary disputes against them.
