Appellate Court case searches are available to all users at no charge. Complete a basic search by entering a docket number, short case title or information about a party to the case. An advanced case search allows the user to further narrow the search by identifying issues, case type, current status and filing dates.

Trial court case searches and payment searches are also free to all users. Free trial court record searches can be statewide or filtered by county name. Case searches can be conducted by name, case identification number or citation number. The payment search page can be used to look up and pay fines.

Trial court advanced case searches and schedule searches are offered only to registered users. Registered users must pay a $25 per month subscription fee to maintain access, as of 2015. Advanced case searches require identification of a specific county to begin the search.

Search results reflect the records available in the Iowa Court Information System as entered by the Clerk of the County as of the prior business day.
