With Hyatt's prepaid legal services, the policyholder receives many benefits, including document review and preparation, general telephone advice, and office consultations, according to Hyatt Legal Plans. The plan includes more than 13,500 attorneys who specialize in a variety of common legal fields.
The plan covers service for a broad range of legal subjects, such as family, personal and money matters, vehicle and driving needs, home and real estate issues, civil lawsuits, wills, estate and future planning, and elder care, explains Hyatt Legal Plans. Each policyholder enjoys no hour or page limits, no co-pays and no waiting periods when selecting a participating attorney. If policyholders choose an attorney who is not part of the network, they receive reimbursement according to a fee reimbursement schedule.
Covered services include adoptions, school hearings, name changes and garnishment defense for individuals and families. Attorneys provide negotiations with creditors, bankruptcy filings, tax audit representation and identity theft services, Hyatt Legal Plans advises. A policyholder receives legal representation for driving privilege restoration and license suspension due to DUI when participating in the plan. Policyholders obtain help with deeds, mortgage issues, property tax assessments and zoning applications. The attorneys write wills and create trusts for plan members. For those with elderly family members, the plan's attorneys help with nursing home arrangements and transfers of power of attorney.
