To apply for the Colorado LEAP program, navigate to the Apply Now page on the Colorado Office of Economic Security, download the application in English or Spanish, and submit the completed application to the LEAP office for your county, as of December 2015. LEAP applications can be dropped off at the county LEAP office, or mailed or faxed to the office. If the county LEAP office has email capabilities, it can be submitted by email.
When your application is ready for submission, consult the Contact LEAP website. You can search for your county office by typing the county name in the search box, or you can browse the alphabetical listing of counties. The contact information for your county includes the address, fax number and email address, if the county has one available.
The Colorado LEAP is a program helping Colorado low-income individuals with paying home utility bills. To be eligible, you must be a resident of Colorado, need help paying your utility bills and not have household income exceeding the maximum levels. The specific household income information is available on the LEAP Program Description website. If you miss the Colorado LEAP filing deadline, the county LEAP office may still be able to provide assistance until the next eligibility period opens.
