Customers can access the listing of eligible residential communities on the AHA website (AtlantaHousing.org) or at its corporate headquarters. Options include more than a dozen mixed-income communities and affordable living properties for families. Each listing provides property features, directions by car or public transportation, and the contact information for the property manager. Additionally, individuals can view whether the property is accepting applications as well as the status of any applicable waiting list for each property listed on the website. Alternatively, individuals can call the property directly to find this information.

Once a decision has been made on a residential community, individuals must submit an application to the property's management office. The application form for each property is available at the AHA website and the property's management office. Individuals who are interested in more than one residential community can apply to multiple communities at the same time, however, a new application is necessary for each community.

The AHA is responsible for developing, leasing and managing affordable housing options for low-income households. In 2015, it served an estimated 50,000 individuals.
