LexisNexis provides a free online version of the Official Code of Georgia. The electronic version does not include annotations, but does allow users to search the code by keyword and browse by title. It also includes the Constitution of the State of Georgia.
The statutory compilations only collect the laws passed by Georgia's General Assembly, explains the Georgia State University Law Library. Georgia's other laws, such as county and municipal ordinances, are published separately, and each county and municipality maintains its own code. Government agencies in Georgia issue rules and regulations. These are set forth in the "Official Compilation of Rules and Regulations of the State of Georgia." Visit a law library to find these ordinances, rules and regulations in print. The Library of Congress maintains a resource to help researchers locate electronic versions of these materials.Learn more about Law
