Both Verizon and AT&T offer 411 information services that provide addresses, including zip codes, for businesses, government offices and residences with listed phone numbers. This type of service is sometimes called a reverse directory search.
Some 411 information services may not offer reverse directory searches. In general, a 411 call is intended to provide locally listed phone numbers, but many services offer national and international listings. Different carriers offer different 411 services, such as movie listings and access to the local Yellow Pages. Some provide driving directions that can be downloaded onto a mobile phone. Providers typically charge a fee for each 411 call made.
