The Wisconsin DOT offers a number of travel guides, including the current year's official travel guide, fall/winter and spring/summer event and state park guides. The site also provides updated breakfast, lodging, campground, art & craft fairs and golf courses directories. Backpackers and travelers may also want to get the current official highway state map, an up-to-date map provided by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
The site also provides a series of highway-based birding guides that highlight the unique ecosystem of Wisconsin. The guides include locator maps, driving directions, description of the properties, trails and the common plants and animals that can be found in each location.
