Other well-known resorts on Cayo Santa Maria include the Ocean Casa del Mar by H10, Valentin Perla Blanca and Starfish Cayo Santa Maria. All of the hotels on Cayo Santa Maria Island are all-inclusive resort-style hotels, and are located on the island’s northern coast. While the government group “Grupo Gaviota" owns all of the properties, it allows international hoteliers to manage the majority of the resorts, for example the Iberostar, Warwick, H10 and Melia hotels.
All of the resorts offer meals, drinks, activities, entertainment and watersports. The Royalton Cayo Santa Maria, Valentin Perla Blanca and Melia Buenavista are all adult-only properties. There is a small sand dune between the resorts and the beach, accessible by an elevated footbridge. This feature and a ban on motorized watersports help to minimize environmental impact. Iberostar Ensenachos is another area resort, located on Cayo Ensenachos - the island next to Cayo Santa Maria.Learn more about Geography
