On a Celebrity cruise ship, most of the restaurants and shops and the casino are on the lower levels, the majority of staterooms are on the middle levels, and the pools and remaining restaurants and amenities reside on the top floors. The number of floors varies from ship to ship, although most of Celebrity's cruise ships have 16.
For most of Celebrity's standard 16-floor cruise ships, the first and second floors are off limits to passengers. The third through the fifth floors contain customer service desks, excursion booking kiosks, the casino, shops, and most of the ship's ala carte restaurants and bars. The majority of the staterooms are on the sixth through 11th floors, although there are often a few staterooms on the third and 12th floors as well.
The 12th floor typically contains the outdoor pools and buffet restaurants. The remaining floors usually only take up a portion of the deck space, leaving the lower levels exposed to the sun. The 13th through 15th floors most often contain a few remaining bars, lounges and other amenities. These additional amenities vary from ship to ship, but most often include a fitness center, kid's club, adults-only section, spa and arcade/game room. The top floor is typically an open air deck with pool chairs for sunbathing.
