Two adjectives that describe Mexico are "vibrant" and "festive." During the summer months, there are many colorful cultural festivals, and the weather is pleasant. Mild summer rains give the landscape a lush and vibrant look.
One of the most important cultural festivals in Mexico is the Guelaguetza. It is held in Oaxaca City every July, as of 2015, and is a celebration of diversity. During this festival, local tribes dress in traditional clothing and perform folk dances from different traditions. After the dance, the performers throw objects into the crowd that represent each region of origin. Visitors to Mexico can also attend various other festivals from June to August.
