Trip permits available through Comdata include ones lasting 72 hours for Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts and North Dakota, as of 2015. Some states, such as Missouri, have combo trip and fuel permits available through Comdata. Comdata also offers trip permits to four Canadian provinces: Ontario, Nova Scotia, Quebec and New Brunswick.
The length, fee and special requirements for each Comdata trip permit depends on the rules for each state. For example, a trip permit for Louisiana is good for 48 hours, as of 2015. Drivers who apply for this permit are required to show the city in which their tags were purchased and information about the equipment they use.
