Passengers arriving at Miami International Airport have the option of private taxi, limousine or shuttle service to the Port of Miami. Dispatchers are located outside baggage claim areas on a terminal's ground level. They order the preferred type of transportation and take care of special requests, such as the need for a wheelchair-accessible vehicle.
Car rental services are also available. Shuttles are provided from outside the baggage claim area to an off-site rental car center. This provides an option for passengers taking a pre-cruise land vacation. Most car rental outfits allow picking up and dropping off at different locations, but they usually charge a fee.
Passengers may also take the Metrorail into downtown Miami and then catch the trolley to the port. The trolley stops at two locations at the port. The Port Miami North stop is close to all the terminals except for Terminal J. The Port Miami South stop is at Terminal J and Royal Caribbean's corporate office.
Passengers driving to the Port of Miami can find parking nearby, including lots that accept oversized and recreational vehicles. Parking garages and lots are only open and manned on cruise days. Access is available on other days by calling Port Security.Learn more about Geography
