Users can track Delta flights with the Flight Status option on Delta.com or by using the live flight tracking option on Flight Aware. Users enter the flight number or the departure and destination airports to find the specific flight.
The Delta homepage includes a Flight Status tab for users. The search screen allows the user to select the current day, previous day or next day from a drop-down box. After entering the flight information and clicking the search button, matching flight results show.
The results page shows the current status, including whether the flight is on time, delayed, cancelled or has already landed. The chart shows the airport city, terminal, gate, schedule time and actual time for both the departure and arrival. If the flight is in the air, the arrival airport information shows an estimated landing time.
The Flight Aware website includes a drop-down box to choose a specific airline. From the Delta page on Flight Aware, users enter flight numbers in a search box to the right. The page shows the path of the flight on a map and a plane icon to show where the plane is at the current time. To the right, the user sees details about the flight, including both airports, gates, scheduled time and current status.
