Wimberley is mostly known for outdoor activities. Blue Hole Regional Park is a swimming hole that is supervised with limited access so that it does not become overcrowded. The Devil's Backbone Scenic Drive runs between Wimberley and Blanco and offers impressive natural views from the hills. The Jacobs Well Natural Area is another swimming hole with a short walking trail, and Lookout Mountain offers a walk up stairs to a 360-degree panoramic view of the area.
Jack Glover's Cowboy Museum is a private collection of cowboy artifacts and memorabilia that is open to the public. Corral Theatre is an outdoor theater that shows first-run movies on weekends during the summer months. The EmilyAnn Theatre and Gardens also offers drama performances in the warm months. Shopping for a wide variety of items can be done at Wimberly Lions Market Days. Quick Sand Golf Course is the lone course in the immediate area and can be found at 1 Pro Lane.Learn more about Geography
