Go to the Union Commons Mall if you want to spend your day shopping, or spend some time enquiring into the past at the Barryton Area and Farwell Museums. The Barryton Area Museum is a one-room schoolhouse with an attached museum that shows historical items, such as cameras, hand tools, sleighs, organs and earlier pictures of the local region. It's only open on the weekends from 1 to 4 p.m. The Farwell Museum was built in 1882 and damaged by a fire in the 1930s. It was restored in 1999 and is also the home of the Farwell Area Chamber of Commerce.

No reservations are necessary, and the campgrounds are also a great location for animal watching, as it's home to many song birds and small animals.
