Attractions at Niagara Falls include boat rides, botanical gardens, casino gaming, Old Fort Niagara, the Aquarium of Niagara and many others. Visitors can walk behind the Falls through the caverns and stand directly behind the falling water. Niagara Falls can also be viewed from the White Water Walk, a quarter mile long boardwalk that extends out over the water with two observation decks.
The Maid of the Mist is a coal-powered steamboat that takes visitors as close to the Falls as possible. Riders are likely to get wet from the spray of the Falls, so rain gear is provided prior to departure.
Another option for visitors is to visit the Niagara Falls View Casino where tourists can stay in the hotel, dine, shop and play casino games. There is a golf course and a spa on-site for guests.
Old Fort Niagara is a historical site located across from Niagara-on-the-Lake and is open to visitors year-round. This 17th-century fort overlooks the Niagara River and Lake Ontario.
The Aquarium of Niagara is located on the northeastern edge of Niagara Falls State Park and is open all year to visitors. The aquarium features both fresh and saltwater varieties of fish and mammals, including penguins, sharks and over 1,000 other species.
