The Fiji Islands offer visitors a chance to enjoy numerous beaches or visit a local village. Other activities include eco-tours, scuba diving and ocean diving with exotic sea creatures.
Fiji Island visitors can visit the islands' many beaches, such as the Pacific Harbor Beach or Natadola Beach. Pacific Harbor Beach is a partially public beach and has waves that are placid and warm, making it ideal for swimming. Natadola Beach is located beyond a verdant bush area and has stronger waves compared to Pacific Harbor. The waves in Natadola make it a good place for body surfing activities. Locals also offer horseback riding service in this area.
Tourists can also choose to visit a local Fiji village, such as Viseisei. Visitors can see various sites in the village, including the village chief's hut, ceremonial drums and a monument. Visitors can pay for a guide when entering the village from the south end or enter for free on the north end, as of 2015.
Visitors looking for a more nature-friendly Fiji experience can take a tour of the Pacific Green showroom and the Sigatoka Sand Dunes. Alternatively, visitors can experience the Fiji Islands' vibrant ocean life by diving with sharks or scuba diving at various resorts.
