Sweden is located in Northern Europe, along with other Scandinavian countries like Norway and Finland. It is the third-largest country that is a member of the European Union, with a total area of around 280,000 square miles.
Both northern and southern Sweden have distinct features. The north is heavily forested, while the south contains most of the country's agriculture. Like other countries in the region, Sweden has a cold climate, especially during the winter.
The largest city in Sweden is also its capital city, Stockholm. It is located near the eastern coast of the country, bordering on the Baltic Sea.
