What States Border Indiana?

The state of Indiana is bordered by Illinois in the west, Ohio in the east and also shares a northern border with Michigan and a border in the south with Kentucky. Indiana is the 38th largest state in the United States and covers an area of 36,291 square miles. Approximately 550 square miles of Indiana's territory is covered by water, with the remaining 35,870 square miles being made up of land.
Indiana consists of three primary land regions, which are the Till Plains, the Great Lakes Plains and the Lowlands and Southern Plains. Major lakes and rivers located in or on the border of India are the Ohio River, Tippecanoe River, White River, Kankakee River, Wabash River, Monroe Lake, Lake Michigan and Lake Wawasee.
