India is a country in South Asia. Some of India's most prominent geographic features include the Chin and Kachin hills, the Indo-Gangetic Plain, the Indus River, River Ganges, the Himalayas and the Vindhyachal mountain range. South India is home to the Eastern Ghats mountain range and the Deccan Plateau. In the west, India has several beaches and rainforests, as well as the Western Ghats. The Himalayas, which are found in the northern border of India and neighbored by Nepal, are the world's highest mountain range. The River Ganges is located in eastern India.
