To sign up for Kroger's fuel program, obtain a Kroger Plus Card from a cashier during your next purchase. Fill out the information then or later online. Scanning the card when checking out earns points that are then redeemable at any Kroger gas station or participating Shell station.
Points may be earned at varying levels for differing purchases. Most groceries earn 1 point for every $1 spent. Gift card purchases earn 2 points for every $1 spent. Most prescriptions earn 50 points for every filled prescription; however, federally funded prescriptions have a different method of attributing points. Occasionally, special programs allow customers to earn extra fuel points for certain kinds of purchases; these vary based on store location and are advertised locally.
Fuel points may be redeemed by scanning the rewards card when purchasing fuel. At Kroger gas stations, every 100 points up to 1,000, earns a 10-cent discount on each gallon of gas up to 35 gallons per fill-up. Participating Shell stations follow the same redemption guidelines but have no limit as to how many points may be earned in one month; the only limit is 1,000 points, or $1 off per gallon, per fill up.
Points earned in one month are available until the end of the following calendar month; however, points from two months may not be combined.
