Love's Travel Stops offer truck stop amenities, such as food, showers, trucking supplies, fuel and RV dump stations. Its Country Stores provide fuel and convenience stores.
Since its founding in 1964, Love's has added a number of services, including Truck Tire Care centers, roadside assistance, gifts and novelties, and truck freight factoring through Love's Financial. The company started as a fuel station in Oklahoma but diversified its offerings during the gasoline crunch of the early 1970s. At that time Love's, which had opened a number of stores, began selling basic groceries and convenience store items popular with travelers. It called these locations Love's Country Stores.
In the early 1980s, Loves began catering to non-truck-driving motorists as well as those in the trucking industry. Its Fresh Daily Deli sandwiches made, as the name suggests, fresh every day at each location were among the amenities that non-professional drivers grew to appreciate when stopping at Love's locations.
To expand offerings at its Travel Stores, the company partnered with several fast food chains, including Taco Bell Express, Subway and Pizza Hut, beginning in the mid-1980s. In the 1990s, Love's added Godfather's Pizza, Arby's, Carl's Jr., Baskin-Robbins, Chester's Chicken and Hardee's to its list of restaurant partners.
