Where Is Seoul Located?

The absolute location of Seoul is at the latitude of 37 degrees and 34 minutes north and the longitude of 126 degrees and 59 minutes east. Seoul is the capital city of South Korea.

Seoul is surrounded by eight mountains, with Mount Nam situated in the central area of the city. The Han River traverses the capital from east to west, separating the traditional Gangbuk region from the modern, more affluent section of Gangnam. Seoul is the cultural hub of South Korea with its numerous historical and architectural landmarks. Some of the popular tourist spots in the city include the Seoul Tower, Namdaemun Gate, Dongdaemun Gate, N Seoul Tower and the Statue of Admiral Yi Sun-Shin.
